Accounts Assistant

Assist with:
The preparation of accurate and timely reporting for period-end accounting including Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss. Other reports include stock reporting forecasting etc.
o The preparation of monthly reporting schedules to Group Finance and internal management team
o forecasting and budgeting processes
o Internal Audit RequirementsPrepare Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliations to meet month-end deadlines
•Fixed assets register maintenance
• Preparation of Capital Expenditure Request forms, expense monitoring and post evaluation of implemented projects
• Assisting with Internal Audit Requirements
• Maintenance of standard costs on ERP system
• Review and improvement of accuracy of BOMs, product routings, and Labour & Overhead recoveries.
• Liaising with production administration to improve the accuracy of recording ERP stock transactions and the recording of scrap
• Wages and Salary processing alongside Time and Attendance
• EC Sales, Intrastat and VAT creation and submission to HMRC
• Co-ordinate monthly cycle count process and year-end stock count, along with the reconciliation and analysis of data received.
• Update E&O stock listings and monitor actions.
• Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Ad hoc finance duties when required

• Aa a minimum the candidate will be partly through AAT qualification with a target to complete within three years.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
• Exposure to export trading would be beneficial.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
